Enjoy providing tutorials and other resources to fellow bloggers? The blogging community is filled with talented individuals who provide all sorts of resources and tutorials in a variety of ways.   Blog Tuts was created as a place to publish and feature these resources.

If you enjoy writing tutorials, we are thrilled to announce that we are currently accepting author applications.

What does writing for Blog Tuts get me?

In return for your original tutorial or blogging resource, you get the chance to introduce yourself to the growing Blog Tuts community and show off your writing talents.  Your posts will use your personal Gravatar and contain some author information, as well as feature a link directly to your website.  This will typically convert to additional traffic and subscribers for your weblog.  Over time, if you continue to contribute content to Blog Tuts, you will also receive your very own author profile page.

How does being a guest author work?

When you sign up to contribute a post to Blog Tuts, you will contribute your contact to our editors via email.  After your first 2 posts are accepted and published, you will receive your own personal login information, and your account will be set as a contributor. Being a contributor means that your future posts will be submitted within our control panel and published upon approval.  Opportunities will be available to be promoted to author once you’ve written at least 10 posts.

Currently most guest authors write once a week, however, how often you write is left up to you. If you only want to contribute 2 posts total, that is fine.  There is no minimum contribution required.

We do not edit or change your posts in any way.  Any changes or modifications or only made by the author or by us at the request of the author.  We only add a quick blurb about the author at the bottom of their first few posts as an introduction to our readers and we often make adjustments to the title, post slug, category, and tags if necessary.

What kind of author(s) are you looking for?

Blog Tuts is a blog focusing on providing tutorials and other resources for the blogging community.  As a result, we are looking for individuals who enjoy writing about any of the following subjects:

• Blog tutorials for any individual blogging platform
• General blogging tutorials, tips, or guides
• SEO or blog monetization tutorials
• Blogging toolbox posts which collect large numbers of blogging resources

Rules & Guidelines for Guest Authors

The rules are in place to ensure that the quality of posts and integrity of the site remains as high as possible.

• The post/article should not be reproduced anywhere else on the web (in English) including your own blog (neither party benefits from duplicate content).
• Any images used in the post must be owned by you and cannot mess up the design of the site. As a guideline, the max width of any picture you post should not exceed 500 pixels.
• It is okay to link to your own blog if it is relevant to do so (eg. referring to an example).  However, you should not write articles around topics to justify a link to your blog and you should not actively encourage visitors to visit your blog. Remember, if your content is good, people will access your subscribe to your feed and follow you on Twitter naturally. 
• No affiliate codes or referral links are allowed within guest posts.
